Vespa is one of the world’s oldest two-wheeler brands, having been founded in 1946 in Florence. Vespa scooters are well-known for their design, simplicity, and ability to draw attention to themselves anytime they are on the road. The company’s presence in India began in the 1960s when it granted Bajaj the licence to manufacture Vespa scooters. Following in the footsteps of Bajaj, the Italian scooter manufacturer has partnered with LML Motors to produce and sell its scooters in India. This cooperation, however, dissolved in 1999. At the 2012 Auto Expo, Piaggio officially launched the Vespa scooter brand in India.
