TVS has produced a new teaser film for the forthcoming Apache RTR 310, revealing the design of its headlights and DRLs. The motorcycle will go on sale in India on 6th September (tomorrow).

Aside from the headlamp design, previous teasers have shown us the bike’s chassis and motor. The TVS Apache RTR 310 will have a steel trellis frame like the RR 310, however the rear subframe is different and appears to be a composite unit.

The Apache RTR 310 will be powered by the same reverse-inclined 312.2cc liquid-cooled engine as the Apache RR 310. The four-valve, single-cylinder mill is expected to produce 34bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. It will be combined with a six-speed gearbox, as well as an assist and slipper clutch.

Many bike parts are expected to be shared between the motorcycle and its fully-faired sister. Suspension duties will most likely be handled by 43mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware is believed to have disc brakes on both ends, as well as dual-channel ABS as a safety net. However, teaser films and spy photographs have shown that the TVS Apache RTR 310‘s alloy wheels would be different from the RR 310’s.

We anticipate that the RTR 310 will be priced at about Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). When it is released, the Apache RTR 310 will compete with the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R, Triumph Speed 400, and Bajaj Dominar 400.
