Yamaha Motor India has finally shown the future YZF-R3 and MT-03 to the country’s journalists ahead of their upcoming launch in our market. The Japanese manufacturer’s Indian arm displayed these products during the expo in Chennai, India.
While formal specifics are not yet available, we anticipate hearing a launch announcement in August 2023, ahead of the high-demand holiday season. Notably, these sub-500cc motorcycles were shown to dealer partners in India earlier this year, with the YZF-R7, MT-07, and MT-09. Furthermore, numerous retailers across the country have begun collecting unofficial reservations for the impending 2023 YZF-R3 and MT-03. Depending on the dealership, the booking fee for these motorcycles ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000.
These goods are available in a number of worldwide countries, and the models headed for India should have the same specifications and characteristics. The YZF-R3 and the MT-03 are power by the identical 321cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, producing 40.4bhp and 29.4Nm of peak torque. Full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS are among the features of both motorcycles.
Yamaha Motor India also displayed the YZF-R7 and MT-07 simultaneously, in addition to these sub-500cc models.
