Triumph Motorcycles India has stated that the first motorbike to be released as a result of the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration would be available on July 5, 2023. The invitation depicts a modern-retro motorbike silhouette, implying that it will be the upcoming Triumph Street 400roadster. The Street 400 name has yet to be determined. While the launch invitation only specifies one motorcycle, we’re not sure if the Triumph Street Scrambler 400 will be available in India with the Street 400. Having said that, we hope Triumph releases both motorcycles concurrently, as this will provide purchasers with more options. What we do know is that both motorcycles will be unveiled globally on June 27 in London, UK.
Wheels and Suspension
In terms of motorcycles, the roadster will be a street-oriented machine with 17-inch wheels and road-going tyres. The Scrambler 400, on the other hand, will be the more versatile of the two, with some off-road capability built in. This is due to its 19/17-inch wheels and dual-purpose tyres. Meanwhile, USD forks up front and a preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear will handle suspension duties.

Specifications of the Engine
Both motorcycles will be powered by a brand-new 400cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. While no official power estimates have been released, we do know that this engine will be designed to generate low-end and mid-range torque, which is a characteristic of a long-stroke engine.

Features
Both the Roadster and the Scrambler are expected to have LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS. We can also anticipate it to have a ride-by-wire throttle and a slipper clutch. However, we don’t know if Triumph’s next 400cc bikes would include smartphone connectivity or GPS.

Competition and Launch Date
In terms of pricing, the forthcoming Triumph bikes are expected to be priced under Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom). When it is released, the Triumph roadster will compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda H’ness CB350. The Scrambler 400, on the other hand, will compete against the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and the Yezdi Scrambler.
