Another appearance of the Royal Enfield Sherpa 650 has been made, but this time on a global scale. Here are the most recent developments on the forthcoming Scrambler built on the Interceptor 65 after it was spotted in Europe on one of its test flights.

The Sherpa 650 appears to be nearing completion and in the last stages of development. It’s based on the current Interceptor, therefore it has the same round headlight, wide handlebar, oval fuel tank, round mirrors, and single-piece seat. However, Royal Enfield has made a few changes to better suit the bike’s Scrambler repertoire. For comparison, it has a single-sided exhaust that is fairly short. The exhaust routing has also been altered to accommodate the two-in-one configuration.

There are also spoke wheels, USD front forks, and double rear shocks. The Sherpa 650 will be powered by Royal Enfield’s existing 648cc twin-cylinder engine. The engine is the same one used in the Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Interceptor. The power output might be 47bhp and 52Nm, with a six-speed gearbox. The Sherpa 650 will also feature a twin-pod instrument console with Tripper Navigation. It will include front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard equipment.

In early 2024, Royal Enfield could make an official announcement about the Sherpa 650. It is projected to be less expensive than the Super Meteor, which currently starts at Rs. 3.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
