The fact that Royal Enfield is developing several new 650cc models based on the same platform as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 is now a well-known fact. A 650cc scrambler that has recently been spotted testing is one of these products that is most intriguing. Although it has been seen before, the new images show some new information.

The round LED headlamp on the 650cc scrambler appears to be an exact replica of the one on the recently unveiled Super Meteor 650. The latter is notable because it is the first RE product with a full-LED headlamp. An Interceptor-like braced handlebar is also visible, though it should be simpler to reach on the scrambler.

Additionally, wire-spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres, a single-piece stepped seat, decently long suspension travel at both ends, upside-down forks up front, a single stubby exhaust canister, and a single-step seat were note. The 648cc parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine is probably going to be the same one that powers the current 650cc twins. The tuning and exhaust sound, though, might differ slightly.

The 650cc scrambler from Royal Enfield is expected to make its official debut in the latter part of next year or in the first few months of 2024, though the exact launch date has not yet been confirmed.
