Royal Enfield Himalayan was introduced in India at the recent Motoverse 2023. According to our dealer sources, deliveries of the motorcycle will most likely commence in January 2024.
The motorcycle comes in four models: Base, Pass, Summit, and Hanle Black. The base model is priced at Rs 2.69 lakh ex-showroom. If you pay more, you may get the Pass variant for Rs 2.74 lakh. The Summit model costs Rs 2.79 lakh, while the Hanle Black costs Rs 2.84 lakh ex-showroom.
In the new Himalayan, Royal Enfield has installed a new liquid-cooled 450cc single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 40bhp and 40Nm and comes standard with a six-speed transmission, as well as an assist and slipper clutch. The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 weighs 196kg less than the previous model and has a larger fuel tank.
Nonetheless, it includes amenities such as a huge, circular TFT screen with Google Maps navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has ABS with a switch, full-LED lighting, and ride-by-wire. In terms of competitiveness, the KTM 390 Adventure is its main adversary, followed by the KTM 250 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, and Yezdi Adventure.
