Hero MotoCorp has begun deliveries in India of its newly launched and aggressively priced 110cc scooter, the Xoom 110. This scooter is available in three models, with prices starting at Rs 68,599. This scooter is aimed at young buyers, so it has a modern design and a segment-first cornering light function. However, this feature is not available on all variants.

Hero Xoom: Specifications

An LED headlight with an H-shaped LED DRL, an H-shaped LED taillight, a real-time fuel economy indicator, and a low fuel indicator are standard across the range. The mid and top-spec variants also have a fully digital indicator, i3S technology for improved fuel economy, a wider rear tyre, a front glove box with a USB charger, and a boot light. In addition to the Hero Intelligent Cornering Light, Bluetooth connectivity, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a front disc brake, the top-tier model includes a front disc brake. Call alerts, SMS alerts, phone battery alerts, low fuel indicators, theft alerts, find-my-scooter and track-my-vehicle functions are all provided by the Bluetooth module.

Hero Xoom: Colors and Design

As previously stated, this scooter is aimed at attracting young buyers, so it has a modern design. A sharp design for the panels, a dual-tone apron, a modern shape for the headlight and taillight, and bold colours are among the styling elements. The top-spec ZX model then receives 3D ‘XOOM’ badges, while the lower variants receive a decal on the body panels. The ZX variant has four colour options, while the VX and LX variants have three and one option, respectively.

Hero Xoom: Hardware

The suspension hardware is the same across the board, with telescopic front forks and a single rear spring. The LX and VX models have 130mm drum units at both ends of the braking system. The ZX version, on the other hand, has a 190mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum. The VX and ZX variants also have a wider rear tyre (100/80) than the LX version (90/90). All variants use a 90/90-section tyre up front. The ZX model, equipped with disc brakes, weighs 109kg, while the LX and VX models weigh 108kg.
