The new booking window for the motorcycle has opened, according to Hero MotoCorp, who recently started delivering the new Harley-Davidson X440 in India. Nearly 1,000 X440 units have been distributed by the company across 100 dealerships, including several Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp locations in India. Additionally, if you want to buy this motorbike, you may test drive it at the showrooms.
Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson jointly created the X440, which is produced at the former’s Garden Factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Hero MotoCorp reports that since the motorcycle’s July 2018 introduction, it has taken more than 25,000 reservations. Denim, Vivid, and S are the three variations that are offered, with ex-showroom pricing ranging from Rs. 2,39,500 to Rs. 2,79,500.
The XR1200 motorcycle from Harley-Davidson’s bygone era was a design influence for the X440. It has a distinctive appearance with a rounded headlamp topped by an offset console, a boxy fuel tank, and a lengthy tail section with thick grab rails. Modern features like full-LED lighting, a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, side-stand engine cut-off functionality, and a USB charging station go well with the neo-retro styling.
A 440cc, air/oil-cooled engine producing 27bhp and 38Nm and paired to a five-speed gearbox powers the motorcycle. It is supported by a trellis frame and is equipped with a set of 18 and 17-inch alloy wheels. Single discs are used for braking at both ends, while KYB USD forks handle the suspension duties up front and dual springs handle the rear. The cruiser’s 13.5-liter gasoline tank has a capacity of 190.5kg.
