The BSA Gold Star is slated to be released in India on August 15. The firm has produced a teaser for the imminent debut, and aficionados of the iconic British marque will finally have the opportunity to acquire a modern-retro BSA in the country.
The BSA Gold Star has been on sale in international countries for some time, and after being observed testing several times in India, the bike is finally ready to join the Indian market.
The fuel tank, curved fenders, and side panel of the BSA Gold Star are all highly inspired by the original bike’s design. The large quantity of chrome all around adds to the bike’s classic feel.
The Gold Star is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that develops 45bhp and 55Nm. The engine is mated with a five-speed transmission.
The motorcycle has a cradle frame with a telescopic fork up front and dual springs in the rear. The bike has wire-spoke wheels. Meanwhile, braking is handled by a single disc at both ends, with ABS as standard.
The BSA Gold Star is specifically aimed at the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. We estimate the bike to cost between Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 3.3 lakh.
