The BSA Gold Star 650 has been released in India for Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The Gold Star 650 is the company’s latest modern-retro motorbike, made in India. It is available in five distinct colours, with varying asking prices.
To begin with, the style is appealing and gives off a vintage motorcycle vibe that should appeal to anyone who enjoy these kinds of vehicles. An exquisite design is achieved by the rounded headlight, the curved fenders, and the contour of the fuel tank. The Gold Star 650 will retail for Rs 2.99 lakh in Insignia Red and Highland Green, Rs 3.12 lakh in Midnight Black and Dawn Silver, and Rs 3.15 lakh in Shadow Black. Everything is priced ex-showroom.
The Gold Star 650’s bodywork conceals a cradle frame suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The bicycle has wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres. A single disc at each end handles braking duties, and two channel ABS is standard.
The BSA Gold Star is equipped with a 652cc, 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 45bhp at 6,500 rpm and 55Nm at 4,000 rpm. It is combined with a five-speed transmission. BSA believes the engine is tuned for a large single and capable of propelling the bike to speeds in excess of 160kmph. The features include a dual pod, semi-digital instrument cluster, and a USB charger.
The BSA Gold Star 650 is now available through authorized dealers, and reservations are open. It competes against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which starts at Rs 3.03 lakh.
