BMW Motorrad introduced its latest flagship adventure motorcycle, the R 1300 GS, in India. The asking price starts at Rs. 20,95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
As previously stated, the R 1300 GS variants differ in terms of colour and equipment to some amount. You may buy this bike in Light White, GS Trophy, Option GS Tramantuna, and Triple Black. However, the overall architecture, engine, and the most of the configuration remain unchanged.
The R 1300 GS is powered by a brand-new 1,300cc liquid-cooled boxer engine. It produces 145bhp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm at 6,500rpm, and is connected to a six-speed gearbox with a shaft drive system.
Naturally, such a large Adventure bike requires a solid set of electronics. So, the R 1300 GS includes a TFT screen for navigating various rider aids and using the smartphone hookup option. The rider aids include ABS, traction control, four riding modes (Eco, Rain, Road, Enduro), hill start control, brake control, cruise control, and tyre pressure control. Other options include a keyless ride, heated grips, and a charging slot.
The BMW R 1300 GS costs Rs. 20.95 lakh, which is just Rs. 40,000 more than the R 1250 GS. It competes against the Honda Africa Twin and the Ducati Multistrada V4. Bookings for the R 1300 GS are open, and delivery will begin later this month.
