The new Bajaj Pulsar N125 has been offered in India, priced at Rs 94,707 ex-showroom Delhi. The bike comes in two varieties, with the top option costing Rs 4,000 more. It is a completely new motorbike, which means that everything from the engine to the design and chassis is new.
The look is unique compared to previous Bajaj Pulsar models. It boasts crisp lines and a variety of floating panels that look distinctive. The front has a lot of apparent heft, whereas the tail part is more streamlined.
Bajaj is offering the bike in two variants: LED Disc and LED Disc Bluetooth. The base model gets a narrower rear tyre, a smaller LCD, and the standard self-starter. The top-spec bike features bolder colors, a larger LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, a wider rear tyre, and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) for a silent start. It also includes switchable auto start/stop to maximize fuel savings.
Under the sleek bodywork is a whole new structure with the engine as a stressed member. It is supported by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock. The bike has 17-inch wheels, with a disc brake in the front and a drum brake in the rear. The CBS (combined braking system) is standard.
Bajaj has installed a completely new engine in the Pulsar N125. This 124.58cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 12bhp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. It is combined with a five-speed transmission.
Bookings for the Bajaj Pulsar N125 have begun, and delivery will follow shortly. In terms of competition, the bike faces the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
