After discontinuing the Bajaj Pulsar 220F a few months ago, the company is now planning to relaunch the bike in India. As we previously reported, select dealers have begun accepting reservations for the bike. While we wait for an official announcement, images of the bike arriving at dealerships have begun to circulate on the internet.

Relaunch of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F in 2023
The Pulsar 220F was phased out last year to make way for the newer 250cc Pulsars in Bajaj’s lineup. However, demand for motorcycles has not decreased, particularly in some parts of the country such as the South. Also, given that the Pulsar N250 and F250 aren’t selling well, it might make business sense for Bajaj to bring back the much older but still popular Pulsar 220F. It remains to be seen whether it will be available throughout India or in specific regions.

Design and features of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F
As seen in the image, Bajaj has not made any visual changes to the bike. That’s understandable given how popular its current design has been since its inception. As a result, it retains a half-faired design with a massive front fascia, a muscular fuel tank, and a long tail with a split-type seat. It is expected to have the same features as the previous bike, including an LED projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, semi-digital console, and a 15-litre fuel tank.
Bajaj Pulsar 220F engine and hardware 2023
The engine and hardware package will most likely be the same as the design and features. It is powered by a 220cc oil-cooled engine with 20.11bhp and 18.55Nm of peak torque and a five-speed transmission. The Pulsar 220F rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and is suspended on telescopic forks up front and old-school dual springs at the rear. A single disc at both ends, accompanied by a single-channel ABS setup, brings this 160kg machine to a halt.

Pricing for the Bajaj Pulsar 220F in 2023
Before it was discontinued in India, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F was priced at Rs 1.34 lakh. Meanwhile, the 2023 edition will mostly be equipped with an OBD-2 system, which may slightly raise the price. However, it should be less expensive than the new Pulsar N250 and F250, which start at Rs 1.41 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
