KTM has unveiled the latest iteration of the 890 Adventure. And the changes for this Austrian ADV include both mechanical and feature improvements. So, let’s take a closer look at the KTM 890 Adventure 2023.
The bike’s design is largely unchanged from the previous model. As a result, the brawny ADV styling with the tall stance is carried over to the 2023 model. However, the headlight and screen design have been altered in a much more conventional manner. The front and side fairings are now more consistent. However, the vertically stacked LED headlight has been retained. It now has a new windscreen that sits more upright and is designed to reduce buffeting. In addition, KTM has added a new alloy guard to protect the engine and fuel tank.
The same 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine powers the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure. It produces 103bhp and 100Nm and is mated to a six-speed transmission. The steel tube frame is also unchanged, but it is now suspended on redesigned 43mm WP Apex USD forks. These springs can now be adjusted for rebound and compression. Meanwhile, the rear end is outfitted with a WP Apex mono-shock. The front and rear disc brakes, which are mounted on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in Pirelli Rally STR tyres, are also unchanged.
The 2023 KTM 890 Adventure receives an updated five-inch TFT display. It enables the rider to keep track of various electronics such as the TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), smartphone connectivity, quick-shifter, cruise control, and traction control settings.
The price of the 2023 model has not been revealing by KTM, but it will be slightly higher than the current model. For comparison, the previous model cost GBP 10,449 at the time (approximately Rs 10.19 lakh sans taxes).
