Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the arrival in our market of the OBD2-compliant Shine 125. The current version of the premium commuter motorcycle comes in two configurations, with costs starting at Rs. 79,800. The base model, with drum brakes on both wheels, costs Rs. 79,800. Meanwhile, the disc brake version costs Rs. 83,800.

Notably, the style remains unchanged, and the 2023 Honda Shine 125 preserves its predecessor’s design. A single-pod headlight with a body-coloured cowl, a body-coloured front fender, a single-piece saddle, a side-slung exhaust, and five-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres round out the look. Then, chrome features on the headlight cowl, side panels and silencer heat cover add to the motorcycle’s styling. Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Matte Axis Grey, Rebel Red Metallic, and Decent Blue Metallic are the five colour options for both models.

The 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection technology, enhanced Smart Power (eSP), and Honda ACG starter retain mechanical specs. This engine is now OBD2 and E20 compliant. Then, like with the previous generation, this engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. An engine start/stop switch, an integrated high beam flasher, an external fuel pump, and a combined brake system with an equaliser are among the features.

Telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable rear springs are standard across the board. The anchoring configuration on the base model then consists of drum brakes on both wheels. The higher-end model has a front disc brake. This motorbike comes with a special 10-year warranty package from Honda.
